Telehealth regulations differ by state. Urology Video Visit complies with all state laws regarding licensing, prescribing, and patient access.
1. Provider Licensing
- Providers are licensed in the state where the patient is physically located at the time of consultation.
- If you are outside the licensed area, care cannot be provided until you return to a covered state.
2. Prescribing Laws
- Some states restrict prescribing certain medications via telemedicine.
- Controlled substances are not prescribed by our platform.
3. Insurance Coverage
- Some states require private insurers or Medicaid to cover telehealth.
- Our consultations are self-pay, but prescriptions may be insurance-eligible.
4. Patient Rights by State
- You have the right to know your provider’s credentials and licensing state.
- You may request this information before or during your consultation.
